Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, which triggers your body's own collagen and elastin production as it heals. Over a series, that improves skin texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, and the look of acne scarring, leaving skin smoother and firmer. It works with your skin's natural repair process rather than resurfacing the surface the way a laser does.

All three are boosters applied with your microneedling to enhance the result. PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is drawn from your own blood and concentrated for its growth factors. PDGF is a concentrated growth-factor serum that supports collagen and healing. PDRN, derived from salmon DNA, is a polynucleotide known for calming, repairing, and rejuvenating the skin. Your provider will recommend whether a booster is worth it for your goals, and which one fits best. Individual results vary.

Microneedling with PRP is $650. Pricing for the PDGF and PDRN boosters is confirmed at your visit, since the right option depends on your skin and goals. As with everything at Aleris, you'll know your full cost before any treatment begins.

You'll see a refresh after one session, but microneedling builds on itself. Most patients do best with a series of about three treatments spaced four to six weeks apart, with collagen continuing to improve in the months that follow. For acne scarring or deeper texture concerns, your provider may recommend more, and will map the plan to your skin at your consultation.

We apply topical numbing first, so most patients find it very tolerable. Afterward, expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for a day or two, sometimes with light flaking as the skin renews. Most people return to normal activities right away and can wear mineral makeup after about 24 hours, following the aftercare we provide.

Microneedling is generally well-suited to a wide range of skin types and tones because it works mechanically rather than with heat or light. Your provider still assesses your skin first — certain conditions and active breakouts deserve a closer look before treatment — to confirm it's the right choice for you.

Your treatment is performed by our licensed master estheticians and RN, under the medical direction of Dr. Amber Farook, MD. Because the PRP, PDGF, and PDRN boosters involve medical products, a physician oversees the plan and your candidacy rather than it being chosen from a menu.
